Niagara Region Children’s Services, as systems managers of child care, wished to demonstrate their commitment to service providers by ensuring they have the technology to support their own operations and reporting expectations to Children’s Services as well as to the Ontario Ministry of Education. Thus, the ECCDC was contracted to implement this Niagara Child Care Technology Initiative with licensed child care programs in Niagara: the selection process; purchasing of computer hardware and software; hardware installations’ and facilitating training and support participating sites.
